Exotic Birds & Animals
Mount Glorious is known for its diverse and beautiful wildlife. Our secluded location, sub-tropical climate, and direct access to rainforest and National Parks makes Mount Glorious the perfect habitat for a huge range of native birdlife.
Easily seen around the resort are Honeyeaters, Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos, King Parrots, and Crimson Rosellas, with Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, Wrens, Robins and many others all nesting around the property.
Avid bird watchers and nature lovers alike will enjoy the opportunity to observe many endemic and sought-after bird species. Some of the rarer and more beautiful species seen at Mt Glorious Getaways include the Rose Crowned Fruit Dove, Powerful Owl, and Wompoo Fruit Doves.
If you’re lucky you may even find the shy and beautifully coloured Regent Bower, or encounter the Paradise Rifle Bird, with it’s unique call & elaborate dance antics.
